Account deletion

1. From within the app

The fastest way:

• ·Open CANI Tontine on iOS or Android.
• ·Sign in with your magic link.
• ·Go to the Profile tab (bottom right).
• ·Scroll down to the Account section.
• ·Tap “Delete my account”.
• ·Confirm by typing DELETE.

2. By email (if you can't access the app anymore)

Send an email to [email protected] including:

• ·The email address associated with your account.
• ·Your full name as registered in the app.
• ·The reason (optional).

3. Data deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is erased:

• ·User profile (name, email, phone, city).
• ·Profile picture.
• ·History of tontines you participated in.
• ·Payment history.
• ·Published P2P listings.
• ·Chat messages sent and received.
• ·Notifications.
• ·Device identifiers used for push notifications.
• ·Analytics activity logs.

4. Data retained (anonymized)

• ·Anonymized crash logs — 90 days, without any PII.
• ·Financial data shared with other members — aggregated and anonymized, not linked to your identity.
• ·Encrypted system backups — purged after 30 days.

5. Timeline

Deletion is effective within 30 days maximum, in compliance with PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 and Google Play Data Safety requirements.
